 JMA - Mission Statement:

In grateful response to God's grace and empowered by the Holy Spirit, the Japanese Ministry Association is an organization of Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) congregations, mission societies, and/or mission agencies, which is committed to making disciples of Jesus among Japanese in the United States of America.

 

   

  Our Objective:

  The Japanese Ministry Association is committed to:

1. Provide a venue for networking by...


- sharing of information and ideas
- sharing of sound Christian literature in Japanese
- offering encouragement.

 

   

 2. Encourage LCMS entities e.g. districts, circuits, congregations, mission societies, LWML,  LHM to reach  out to Japanese people in their surrounding area.  Promoting effective models  of pre-evangelism,  evangelism and discipling for specific targets in the U.S., i.e.,

a) First generation immigrants from Japan,
b) Second generation Japanese
c) Japanese in the U.S. for the short term
d) Students from Japan
e) Japanese in cross cultural marriages.

 3. Prove an avenue to coordinate work between the  NRK (Japan Lutheran Church) and the LCMS World  Mission.

 4. Ensure follow-up for those returning to Japan.

 5. Procure and disburse funds, if needed, to enable the  JMA to carry out its stated objectives.
