About 90% Japanese, temporary residents. Mostly women
and young children (birth to kindergarten), some men.
Primary goal - Model Christ for our unchurched international neighbors, especially Japanese, by offering help, friendship, love,
and the Gospel message, in the hope that the seed of faith may
be planted.
Offer, when desired by them, help in learning more about
Christianity.
Provide nurture and support needed, here or after return to their
home country, that they may continue to grow in their relationship with Jesus.
Friendship based, usually small groups – classes for adults and children – English, culture, discussion, skills.
Recreation - field trips.
Children’s classes or activities -Classes for moms together with
their kids (Baby & Me, Toddler & Me, Moms & Tots)
Class for int’l preschoolers alone (Preschool Story Time).
These classes serve kids from birth to 6 years old.
Childcare is provided for additional children in most of our classes.
Large Group Special events Christmas Celebration, Easter Celebration.
Mostly Temporary residents.
Individual assistance - in crisis.
Primary witness - relational witness, offer Bible classes, provide
Bibles & optional resources, special
Christmas/Easter events, etc) Prayer in classes, small personal witness moments in lessons.
Staff and Resources
Charges - $5 per visit, per family for childcare, no charge for registration or classes.
Free resources offered - Classes, Bibles, videos, etc.
Staffing - 2 full-time (director, assistant director), 1 part time (children’s ministry coordinator)
Volunteers - About 45 volunteers leading classes or small groups
or assisting the leaders.
